How I Learned to Live One-Handed - Any Why I'm Finally Telling My Story

I Was 3 Years Old. And I Never Let It Stop Me.

In 1986, I had two ischemic strokes. I was 3 years old.

I didn't know what that meant. I didn't know I was any different from any other kid - until probably little league sports.  At least that's when I actually 'saw it'. During practices there were things I had to do differently than the others, watching everyone else, something clicked.  And nothing was ever quite the same after that.

But I Didn't Stop.

I went to school, made friends, caused trouble, graduated and spent 10 years loving the man who picks up where my left hand leaves off - before we made it "official".  By that time, we had two daughters, his namesake came three years later.

I did three semesters of college, then traded a classroom for a career.  I went to trade school, became a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and worked for over 10 years - one-handed, no excuses, no shortcuts.

In 2014 my body started sending signals I couldn't ignore - the pain creeping into my good side.  So, I stepped back, had another baby, and got to raise my son until he was NINE!! I only worked as needed, I cleaned a few houses a month, took care of an elderly neighbor, and worked a few months at a local laundromat.  Eventually circumstances left me with no choice but to re-enter the workforce - after 11 interviews - I landed a position I was proud of.  It didn't last as long as it should have.  The way it ended HURT! But sometimes the thing that knocks you down is the exact thing that finally makes you speak up!

That's how I ended up HERE - Telling MY story - OUT LOUD - To the WORLD

This time, I'm building something for ME, something that can NEVER be taken, something that will only grow as it reaches its audience:

Life's Easier This Way is everything I wish existed when I was figuring it out alone. The Hacks.  The Products. The honest talk about what's hard and what actually helps.  Built from Real Life - MY LIFE - for people who are living one like it.

You don't need two hands to do this.... I am PROOF.
